He wrote, “Last night a huge fire broke out at the historic Maharani Mandir in Gulmarg, Kashmir. Remember well that Rajesh Khanna and Mumtaz’s song ‘Jai Jai Shiv Shankar’ was shot here. I am sure all religions will rebuild the temple together with the spirit of Kashmiriyat.” His message highlighted the cultural significance of the temple and the collective desire to restore it.
